Become an Expert in Your Field!
10% of people in most industries make 90% of the money (look at professional sports as an example)!! You should therefore set a goal to become one of the top 10% in your field. A sure fire plan is to commit to one hour a day on education in your industry. Do this for three years and someone will refer to you as a genius in your field and you will well and truly be remunerated accordingly. It does take some time, patience and persistence. As the CEO of your personal services business I recommend you commit to excellence and pay the price to get there.
Commit one hour per day to learning time and turn driving time into learning time. Attend seminars and workshops. As you become more successful upgrade the level of the education you are investing in. Identify the key skills required for getting results – work on your weaknesses (time management?) to ensure they don't hold you back. Build on your own talents on a monthly, weekly, daily, hourly basis. The same level of talent will get you the same results you have now. Finally do not let negative thoughts (I am not smart, experienced, old, good looking enough) creep in.
Review Your Goals Daily! Take 5 minutes of your day, everyday, to revisit and revise your goals. This simple act will keep you on track and working towards what really is important to you. More importantly by reviewing your goals every day you tap into the power of your subconscious mind.
